Working on a Project...
November 10th, 2008Currently I’m hard at work being all Scholarly….
I’m working on a project… what I feel is somewhat of a big project. It started out small but due to circumstances has grown far larger than I originally anticipated. But this project… trust me, great thing. Once I get to the point where I feel it should be publicly announced, I’ll post it here. I’ve been hard at work on this for the past several weeks and will continue to work. Hopefully I’ll have something by the end of the week.
All I’ll say about it is, for those interested in spells - knowing what gets when with what subjob. Comparing two jobs and subjobs against each other, maybe 3 or 4 even, and information about all these spells from MP cost to duration will be easily accessible.
A Scholar's Test
October 20th, 2008I’ve recently gotten in touch with an old Scholar friend, Zenes. Now I’ve known Zenes since back in the days when we were still studying the fine details of the Grimoire. I talked to him and asked if he knew other well-studied Scholars - I emphasize “well-studied” because I’ve seen some poor Scholars before, I don’t even know how they got past the mid-terms…
Anyways, I spoke to Zenes and briefly touched on the topic of what I would like to call, “A Scholars Test”
But Setherio, what do you mean by that? What kind of test?
Well, I’d tell you if I knew - but I don’t. Currently I am in the process of trying to figure something out. After speaking with Zenes, I am trying to get a Party (if I can get more, I’m all for it) of Scholars. I mean, I want to push this job to the limit, have a party of Scholars, and try to do something which people wouldn’t quite expect.
Now, don’t get ahead of yourselves, I know what you’re thinking. “Seth, don’t do it. A party of Scholars can’t take on the Warden!” … … Don’t tempt me! But no, that’s not quite what I’m up to. Something along the lines of that, yeah, but not quite that. I want something that would be a challenge, something “Black Mages” and “Red Mages” can’t quite pull off yet.
I’m talking about something to show off the power a Unity of Scholars can accomplish - something that will give Jeuno a damn good reason to banish the Scholars.
The question is… but what?
Toads and War Chocobos
October 9th, 2008Due to some unforeseeable events with certain commanding officers of the Fourth Division, I have decided to withdraw from the Bastokian Army. Upon leaving, I signed a non-disclosure which refuses me the right to explain the exact situation, give names, or what-not. I can’t believe it. I have worked so hard for my home nation and within such a short period of time they just put me threw this! It’s complete BS! For the time being I have decided to just become a Mercenary. Currently Windy has hired me to be a Cobra. I had an offer from Sandy, but Windy’s offer was slightly better, so I had to accept it. Can you blame me?
Regardless of which of the two nations I ended up signing on the dotted lines with for the time being, I would be forced to under go a quest - a simplistic way to say “hey, i know my stuff, just put me in the field.”
So I ended up in Windy (have I mentioned my disdain for Windy? I have such a disdain for Windy… but… they had better incentives…). And this Mithra gave me “putty” and said “You know what to do with it.” Seriously… what? I wasn’t paying attention? Putty? Do what now? Hmm…
I have putty…
What to do with it…
So I talked to my linkshell and my good friend Malachai offered his assistance. He came to visit me in Windy and showed me what to do. Now I’ll be honest, if someone asked me to show them what to do right now, I’d say I have no idea - and I wouldn’t be lying ^_^

Malachai showing me around outside of Windy.

Toads! I so poked the toads… Then someone in my linkshell told me to lick them… so I did…
I started seeing things, it was crazy! I saw Malachai!

Me paying my respects to Malachai and Bishop, his faithful puppet. ^_^
Later that day I came across Zenes. He is a fellow Scholar - one whom I actually leveled up with quite a while ago. We hung out for a while and discussed Scholar-y things.

We made some plans too. All I can say about that is, expect to see the awesomeness of duoing Scholars sometime soon…
So after hanging out in White Gate we decided to head out with Madoria, who needed to get some skillchains done for her weapon, and beat up on some crabs - so we did. We decided to go to the Inlet, but Madoria hasn’t been there yet, so we went through the Forest to get there. That was fun. Especially since we all decided that I would lead the way…
Hah, me, Setherio, lead the way… That’s great…
But seriously, I came across something awesome!
I’ll just post some pictures I took on my travel…

I'm Back! --- But At What Cost?
October 2nd, 2008Well, I got my 360 working!
But there was a price…
I decided I would take the 360 apart and fix the dvd drive and make it read DVDs again. I got it to work, but in the processes, sliced my hand in several locations resulting in deep cuts on my thumb, palm, index, and middle finger of my right hand.

Phoenix
September 29th, 2008Okay…
Here’s the deal. I have a good friend from Phoenix who has requesting me to move on over to Phoenix. I also have friends from Asura who I want to hang out with and go on misadventures with.
Now the thing is, I’ve been with Cerberus for a long time now. I have friends there. I have great friends there. I even have a reputation there that I have worked hard for. And the friends, I have lots of friends there who have helped me with so much and vise-versa!
But sometimes change is good. I’m not sure what to do. I’d like to change servers but I don’t want to say goodbye to my friends on Cerberus. I think it would be fun to go to Phoenix with Demon and Sam and Ayusa, but what about Kal, Dran, Seph, Mal, Max, Greshic, and what about Caboose?!?!
I don’t know what to do!!!!!!
Anyone? Advice?
